    Awesome trackday today.

Cheers to Tim/Tash for the lift out and back. And good work to Sharry for what she did to her rear tyre, and getting promoted to group 2.

I hope Deadly tuna is able to get things sorted as well, that sucks bro.

    Hey Guys,

Long havnt been keeping up here for ages now. But i thought you guys might be the best bunch to talk to regarding this (esp Wanpo and interceptor).

Im looking to switch my cruiser for a VFR800, seen a few at the dealers test rode two. One was bit out of my price range and another one was almost straight swap. But the engine of the one that i could afford pulses a little at low revs (held at constant throttle) which can be a bit annoying in first when the throttle is just cracked sort of thing. Is this normal? And also is it normal for the clutch basket ( i think) to rattle a bit when the clutch is fully let out when in neutral gear?

I couldnt really compare the two that i rode cause the first one i was just concentrating on keeping the shiny side up, completely different beast to the cruiser lol.

Have to join you guys again for a cruise one of these Mondays!

    Thanks!

No pulse or rattle on my VFR800. Mine is a 2006. One feature of the VTEC engine though is that only two of the four valves per cylinder are in use until 6,400 rpm and then all valves roar into life which can make it a bit tricky if you're not expecting it/watching the revs but this wouldn't have occurred though if you were holding at a constant throttle. To add... there is VFR thread on this forum so you may get some additional advice depending upon what year/model you're considering: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ective-members

While normally I'm an authority on everything, I can't comment here; I'm yet to ride a VFR

Isn't it gravel out around Leigh? done that loop once on Cammy; not a lot of fun on a superbike. Although if you do head by Matakana, you have to head to the peak up matakana valley road.

Ah ha okay thanks for that - I agree not much fun on gravel/metal (but maybe for Toto though!).

Hmmm, maybe a wee chat about route then before Matakana becomes the destination...

Well it was a good ride last night, just a few of the crew enjoying some late night riding! Went out to the Rusty Pelican to savour some of its offerings, seems their quantities are too much for stomachs!

Thanks to Darrell for leading us out, always nice to have someone else as ride captain!

gale_wolf must have downed a whole bottle of HTFU pills since he did the whole night without warm riding gear!

Spot you all the next time!

I was on my quarter-thousand Hyosung, carving it up in group 2. Cammy wouldn't have been insured (since I don't have my road licence)

Good luck with all the insurance stuffs.

Yeah the bike looked rather munched...

Sorry to hear of your injuries. Hope you recover quickly.

I am sure someone will have it on video... And if you do find video evidence... POST IT HERE!!
