If your ride fast, and take lots of risks, then you will get pinged often, and loose your licence as well.
But if you live in small town NZ, or ride like a nana, then you will be unlucky to get pinged, and enjoy many years of fun riding.

Indeed, when was the last time you were pulled over twice in one day? Never happened to me, and I've been on the roads for 26 years. The last time I was even looked at closely by Mr Plod was a random checkpoint probably 18 months ago.

Bike has been stripped for over a year and I am suffering BIG pms. Sometimes I think about putting it back together unpainted just so I can go for a fang. At least I am getting a wee bit of a fix from the dirtbikes. A mate kindly lets me ride one of his bikes every now and then, but of course I would not ride on the road without a license.

"I'll take those odds" - Quite obviously I'm talking about probability. Rego for a year = $520 (ish?), rego fine = $200. Given the amount I ride, the distances I travel and the localities I travel in, I'll bet you whatever you like I get fined less than I pay in rego fees. I'm planning on covering a few kms later in the year, thereby increasing my odds of being snared by the revenue merchants so I'll put rego on my bike at that point.

yeah good on ya cobber.....you do what you do and believe what you believe....things cost what they cost and youre kidding yourself if you believe that no one else picks up the slack when you choose not to pay. I've got a brilliant idea I'm going to suggest to Steven Joyce that fines for unregistered bikes be $100 per each month since expiry date. May as well get in before someone in Govt thinks of it.



Shit! Just realised, I'd better wait untill I get my rego up to date. It ran out on Thursday.
