I was always subtle about it also. Had easily accessible tops so that I wasn't lifting my shirt and having my stomach hanging out. I'd usually plan to go back to the car when I knew he was due for a feed or showing signs of. Although not exactly a wise place to sit and feed a baby in the middle of summer. And one of the last times I parked up in a "private" area to feed my kid I had some weirdo trying to get in my car. NEVER AGAIN! Was only ever caught out a few times with a screaming baby. Mum and I would always catch up for lunch at one particular cafe, we'd always seat up at the rear of the cafe away from people with the pram "appropriately" positioned. And if I needed to due to the cafe being overly busy I'd head outside and feed my son at the tables out the back of the cafe where the workers usually took their breaks (they knew and left me to it).
Tell you what its hard latching a baby when you are absolutely chocka fulla milk!
I think people tend to forget that although there are "private" mum and bubs rooms available not everyone would be so keen to use them. The one available at the Sylvia Park Mall is nice and clean. The state of the one in Whangarei in my opinion is absolutely shocking and I'd seriously never use it. Where I live as far as I am aware there isn't one.
Seriously have to question if he was soooooo offended why take a photo. Its more than just weird.![]()
