Maybe it's 'cos they don't like you.

I heard a bit of an interview on the radio ..... seemed like she was just justifying herself with BS, maybe PR to get everyhting out of the way, her seen to be a victim of society's close mindedness etc.

What is it with people? Can't you have a committed long term relationship....without sex? Most people have many lifelong loving supportive relationships with nothing more than a hug, kiss on the cheek, or a firm handshake (think family, best friends).

As for the homosexual "I was born this way" whine, FFS I hear some sad bastards are sexually aroused by their pet labrador....maybe we should all be open minded and accept that sex is normal if you love someone in whatever form your soulmate arrives. At least labradors only last about 12 years, so the commitment isn't too bad, and if it all breaks down a juicy bone should cover the divorce.

Ed, there are some key rules you don't seem to be getting, here:
    1. If you claim an assertion, particularly if you claim it is absolute documented fact, then the onus is on you to provide sources when challenged, so that others can debate them and judge their quality.
    2. If, when so challenged, you say "find them yourself", "Google is your friend", etc., then you forfeit the point of debate, plus accumulate five "tosser" demerit points
    3. After a certain number of aforementioned "tosser" demerits (threshold varies with the debatee), people stop engaging with you, cos yer a tosser.

This is indisputable fact, and well-documented, as even a cursory Googling will show...

    Anyway, to your response:

Um, no I didn't - your points were:
    - leads to marriage and relationships breaking up
    - short term relationships
    - bring children into the world
    - people becoming blase about moving from one relationship to another either
    - without regard to the long term benefits of a stable marriage or
    - in a forlorn hope of finding that perfect man or woman

Although I did not explicitly state that promiscuity on either party's part would not be sufficient cause to break up my very long-term and stable relationship, to be fair (it wouldn't be), I did deal with kids and the myth of perfection. The rest is all just your assumptions about normality.

I really don't care if Allison Mau has chosen another woman as her partner. Its weird but harmless too. If she and her friend are happy - good.

I thought this alternative sexuality thing was publicly accepted 10-15 years ago. If some folk want to make peculiar personal choices, what the heck. It doesn't mean they aren't good people, capable of kindness and contributing to our community.

    Leave the gal alone.

Blase about it? Hell no, the best thing about being single is that you get to have loads of test rides on loads of different chicks. I'm very for it. LOL! As for the same sex thing - I'm very open to having sex with two women at the same time.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Honestly, mate, if you really can't see for yourself the truth of this you are a sad person, living in dreamland. Go and see if you can start a pointless argument with someone who can be bothered.

The question should be, why can't she leave it [the issue] alone? Hence the OP...

Because she is an attention seeking whore.

    Does that complete the circle?

I don't think the Topp Twins would even consider this subject worthy of social activism anymore and they were active in getting same sex relationships considered acceptable and legal.

Others must have noticed how it is now fashionable for females in the entertainment industry to 'come out' as bi-sexual. It gets them a headline and at the same time broadens their scope of work.

Yeah, I guess no one wants to picture the Topp Twins together as compared to Mau and her dancer partner...
