Its that kind of thing that makes it hard for all of us, not least of all the poor organisers who are trying to put on a class event & not look like fools themselves.
No such promise was made, we made the decision not to attend 2010 at least 3 months out from the event as we were told we had to do the full tri series or we couldn't do any individual rounds, one week out from Wangas we were then told by the organisers we could enter Wanganui but by then we'd cancelled our accommodation and were looking at double the ferry costs due to late booking

2011 we didn't even consider doing it

Personally after the huge delays the last times we've been there (08/09)I consider it fairly poor value for money especially as we have added costs compared to every other sidecar team

Then it would seem that a member of your team made promises to the NZSRA, for reasons unknown, that you clearly knew nothing about.

Regardless of what may or may not have been promised one extra sidecar still wouldn't have got the numbers to the twelve per round the organisers were promised

This might be just the kick up the arse a few people need to wake up and realise that as a class we're not indispensible and hopefully we can go forward in a much more productive way than the previous two years

Don't think Bill died at the Cemetery Circuit, think you'll find it was at the Motua Gardens circuit 1962??

Must be where you guys got the idea for your "extra" outfits for the Tri series and Paeroa

I was away overseas when it happened, always thought it was the cemetery circuit!

Thanks for that, Bill was a good guy we grew up in the same street, lost touch after leaving school. (As you do)

    Personally i can take-em or leave-em.

Facts are tho, that a lot of JoBlo public look forward to seeing the three-wheeled trollies out there and the historical connection should not be forgotton.

Political clap-trap asside, I would stil like to see them participating , however i suspect that there are pressures on the organizers revolving around time/amount of classes and amount of attendees for the big 6 0 event ?

    street

with $200 mnz licences for a street race, it will be good to see how many want to update the extra $100 from a club licence

Wayne. Same for Nationals. Entries are low anyway, will be interesting to see if they are reduced even more.
