    iTunes keeps crashing

Hey guys, my bloody iTunes keeps crashing everytime I try to open it.

Have tried reinstalling it and a few of the suggestions on the Apple site, but still no luck.

Running Windows 7 home edition 64bit

    Cheers,

$&@$# iTunes, biggest piece of crap software. Is it crashing when you connect up idevice? As I've had this problem due to having photos on iPod & phone, remove them and works fine.

Runs ok on my work w7 64 bit PC but use it as little as possible.

Yep it was doing that to begin with. Seemed ok, plug in the iPod, doesn't wanna work.

Somehow I've seemed to have made it worse as it doesn't even start up now lol.

Teacher asked me to take a turntable into my kids school a while back. Kids were amazed at it.

Have you installed the 64bit or 32bit version? Either way, try installing the other one.

+1 to getting rid of iTunes. There are plenty of better alternatives.

Was not aware of this, other programs that will let me dump music onto my iPod?

    Which one(s) would you recommend?

Even when it does work, the program is such a cunt to use and not user friendly.

I don't have a serious grip with iTunes, it's just taken me a long time to get used to the damn program.

And when I finally do, it bloody stops working on me!

Ctrl + C, then Ctrl + V. Sometimes it's best to keep things simple. I don't need any special software to transfer data from one drive to another.

That's why I love my Walkman sometimes, Windows just treats it like a USB stick.

yeh it does take a bit of setup, with all the album organising and artwork etc (you can get apps that help out with this though), but I find once this is done, the browser and playback interface is at least as good as any other, and auto keeping the ipod synced is pretty helpful.

If changing the 32/64bit doesn't work, look up on how to completely remove it, as I think there are some associated services that are difficult to remove.
