Maybe better photos my jog memories?
Gentlemen I bought this tank off TM and of course it doesn't fit, is anyone able to Identify it so I am able to sell it with the right details this time.
    I only kmow it doesn't fit my 86 XR600R
Details on it are "Acerbis 4601 OrmeniMoto"
Google was unhelpful for once and came up with squat!
Maybe either a Dominator or XL sumfink foreign maybe?
    Not an XR 400 500 600 or 650 new or old, maybe a xr350?
First dibs go to who ever Id's it and wants, Choccy fish as well!
    Cheers!

was the one you bought off tradme white? i think i saw that listing
it may be for an xr500 83 to 85
but then again if that was the case it should match up reasonably well to
    any of the rfvc models

    good luck!

It has 2 lugs at the base that match nothing on the xr I have, no seat latch. Forgot to mention that on the site I got the pics from, someone with an early 80's Xr500R remarked it was incompatible too.
    Cheers for your input tho!

totally diferrent to the 90's XR6
long time ago when i had an 80 XRL250(27 years) i think they had the 2 bolt lugs

would look good on an old 500A, just imagine chewing up miles of gravel with that much gas

Does look like my red one, which I believe is for the early model (81-82) XR250/500 monoshock. Pre RFVC.

It would also look quite nice on my TT350 instead of the red one I've got...

Hell, I could do a 3hr cross country on the XR250 with the stock tank...

With one of those, just fill it up at the start of the season and ride...

With mine, I was going to build a dakarish 81-82 XR250 with the big tank. But now I've got the TT350...

Although I do prefer the XR250 engine characteristics. Traction everywhere from throttle on 'till valve bouncing...

If yer type "Acerbis 4601 omnimoto" into
google it comes up with 2011 Honda Crosstourer
The tank shapes look very simular squared with flat panels
but still dosn't look quite right..

Yeah pretty sure our tanks are Identical....does yours not have "Acerbis 4601 omnimoto" written on it somewhere underneath. Just have to find someone more vintage than me to sell it too now, sheesh cant even remember when I last saw an 500ra xl or r, in them days my old PE250 would run rings around both of them

I'll see what mine says underneath...

How much did it sting you?

I know several TT350 owners over here that if I can make an easy conversion, may want one.
