Well i got my quote to fix the bike, $3883 and thats repairing the fairings not replacing them, they put things on i hadnt even thought of, genuine parts are filthy expensive, i priced up doing it my self with some nicer aftermarket parts
and could do it for $1301 give or take a couple of hundred for the fairings. still waiting to hear from the assessor.
Turns out my head bearing is f&*$ed which maybe one of the reasons i havent felt comfortable leaning it over to much, VTNZ just passed it for a warrant in May, dont know how fast they can go away but knowing what i know now about them its been like that for a while, was just stupid and doubted myself so i didnt get it checked.
Live and learn.
You mean "we got caught at the lights". Something we need to be aware of as generally when we have "lost" someone its usually within Hamilton. Route was via Te Kowhai so we should have turned off at the Harvey Normans roundabout but since no-one waited at the roundabout and a couple of bikes went stright through we followed and turned off at Ngarawahia to meet up at the Glenn Murray intersection, as planned. Waited there for you and again in Waiuku where we stopped for a bite to eat and coffee and a big beer for Nigel.
A good days ride 320km and bloody cold coming back!! 12 bikes left for the ride - good numbers and again good to see faces that have riden with us in the past

Life would be so much easier if you addressed questions with a simple answer.
I was out and about and saw few familiar bikes heading to Kings Gate Hotel. A Buell and a VFR400
I have to admit I was bit jealous not being able to join. Damn, thats a last time I put my Reg on hold. 3 mnths is a long time without a bike![]()
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....
I had a bit of a laugh when we passed you when we were nearly there. Mighty impressive that you cruised all the way out there to catch up haha. It certainly was a bit nippy in places.
Rule of thumb, never try and catch up. Slow down and catch the people behind you. That way you'll have at least one other person to say "stuff it, lets go to the pub in Dargaville instead"
Gotta say, we stopped at EVERY pub on the way up looking for you too. Nigel was wobbling a bit by the end of it. Bloody poms, they just can't handle their cold beer!
Some cool shots there.
We sorted it in the end. I was just happy that the Ngaruawahia to Huntly road wasn't as foggy as the day before!
I was feeling it by the time we got home and the tinted visor was pretty much at the end of it's usefulness. I was getting worried when I started seeing my headlight on the road. That's pretty much the sign that you should have a clear one on.

Ride if you wanna ride. Just be prepared to pay the fine if you get caught. What is is? $200 or $150 (+ the demerits).
Only when we're waiting/looking for someone. I think it's good dedication on our part. We're like the Marines...no one gets left behind or we're drunk trying
Disclaimer: LOR does not endorse or condone riding while under the influence of any substance that can affect your ability to balance your bike. Doing so may lead to public ridicule and having to ride in nothing but a pink cape.
It's also just plain silly.

The only other downer of riding unregistered is that no insurance company would pay out if you binned it.

Fucksake. Hang yourself.
Don't know why people think this is the case. Insurance can not be denied solely because your rego is out.
Even searched out a thread that explains it http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...insurance+rego
