    WTB Honda CL350

Hi all, as per title, WTB a late 60s or 70s Honda CL350. These are the scrambler style bikes with the high level exhausts.

I'm looking for one for a project, anything considered. Preferably it'd be rideable or close to it.

Let me know what you've got!

With my limited knowledge of hondas ... the CL's were road bikes. The SL350's were the scrambler series ... quite sought after nowdays ...

Cl was more of a "Street scrambler" with high pipes, SL was a proper off road bike

Technically, the CL350 was a "street scrambler" by dint of its high pipes.

This is the one I'm after - "street scrambler" style. I'm not fussy about the colour but the one in the picture is basically exactly like what I want my eventual project to turn out like.

The headers were OK but Honda of that period didn't quite ever master the muffler thing.

The systems on those bike never looked as good as the one on my 1970 TR6C Trophy or best of all the 67/68 TR6C ones. The 67/68 mufflers are quite small and might work on a Honda? Either that or run 2 short reverse cone meggas...

They're almost as ugly as a modern Triumph Scrambler (doesn't stop me from wanting one though).

I know what you mean - I really want one too but it would have to have one of those Arrow pipes on it.... I think the guy that did Hondas mufflers in the early 70's ended up at Triumph..... Odd ugly curves and outside seams are not cool...

have you thought of buying the more readilly available CB350 and restoring it to CL350 spec?
From memory it is bolt on parts used to convert it

There's a good chance I'll end up doing this I guess. I figure there are only a few differences. High rise pipes, long travel forks and shocks, and a different front mud guard are the obvious ones. All these things can probably be modified/ fabricated or even bought if needs be.
