Why would you condsider buying another car when you already own one? Was it that logic that lead you to buying a Hyosung?

Sounds like a case for a SV650. A cheap one shouldn't bleed you dry & quite fun whilst within your means.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Riding a $4000 bike you own is a far nicer feeling than riding a $6000 your in hock to a finance company for.
Remember that $4000 bike is yours, the $6000 bike is sort of yours but it's really going to cost you between $7000-$8000,and next year it will be worth $4000.
Don't buy a car, leathers an helmets look really out of place in a car.
4k is heaps for a bike. Spend $3.5k and spend the other $500 changing all the fluids and any creature comforts you might want to add - like fuel.
There are a couple of ZX6s in Auckland that fit your budget.

They don't look as flash as a 3-5 year old one but they'd still go way faster than you.
Fuck the car, fuck the bike - get a pram![]()
If you must borrow, then increase your mortgage - if you don't have a mortgage then check if your parents have one they can increase. There's probably 10 to 15% difference between the rates of a vehicle loan and a mortgage. And that adds up to a lot of interest you won't be repaying.
I dunno..I miss those days screaming the ZXR through the gears and really using all it had. The only time I ever got close to that with a 600cc or 1000cc was at the track...(ok I lie...I had a few rides some time back now where we let the cat out of the bag, but shit it's dangerous on the road.) I am 100kg. I had to make that ZXR work for its money, and it sure did. hit second gear on a 600cc or definitely first on a litre bike and you've already blown past the ZXR's performance.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
I've had a few old cars and bikes and in my experience those old vehicles have cost a shitload of money to maintain. It's often cheaper in the end to spend more money and buy something more modern rather than keep chasing good money after bad by maintaining a vehicle which is well past its use by date.
