But in NZ no one owns the water, the PM said so so we must be safe to at least collect the rain water, right? Oh no that's right, you have to own the rights to the water before you can use it, darn.

I'm quite aware of the situation in Bolivia.
However what it has to do with Mighty River Power is still a figment of your imagination.
You're grammar is improving though (almost to a point where it's not interfering with your message).

I don't pay anyone for water.
BTW - spelling "grammar" incorrectly makes you look pretty stupid...

Govt body looking at market for all water

"And is one of the ways you could do that allowing them to buy and sell, not the water itself if you like, but the right."

"We've been going since 2008 in building that process where we're all sitting at the table, to share each other's aspirations in relation to water, but also to have the hard discussions<"...

My aspirations for water are for private (or part private for that matter) businesses to leave it the fuck alone and I'd like us to save some so that people don't have to suffer hose pipe bans. You don't own it, but you have rights to it. What's the difference if the transfer of money is concerned?

John Key is going to say he's not going to capatalise water becuse its all tied in with the TransPacificPartnership steal...sorry deal.
When thats sorted it'll all come out in the wash & 10 years after sale when there is no discernable kiwi shares of any consequence left if "we" try to control or use it for "us" then the international lawyers will have our guts for garters.

The TPP, what's that all about then? Isn't that just another free trade deal? Wonder why we don't hear much about it on the news. Is it because it's boring and doesn't really affect anyone? What's with the international lawyers thing? Surely you don't mean that international law will prevent our govt from being able to protect its people from foreign corporate interest? Nahhhhh, it'll never happen.

I realise mashy that you say that with tongue in cheek, but for those that dont know the TPP is secret trade negotiations that wont be revealed until 4 years after the "deals" are done.....
Like other WTO negotiations it will allow Companies to sue for loss of income if the state or councils deem it not to be a good idea....
Or, if they say we'll just let in one corporation or an industry into an area then you have created a precednt & that if another outfit is denied then they have international trade agreement laws to use against our poor broken arses .
Also with John fiddling with the RMA, say for example Shell or Oceania decided to to frack or prospect in sensitive areas, then no longer will we have the might of the Govt. lawyers & beauracracy to challengre them....it'll be left to your local councils to do that. Fat chance they'll have fighting a multi billion dollar company that makes more per year than that council . In that councils domain with the only direct tax benefit will be from Joe Averages income tax/Gst contibution, whilst the overseas company pays 4/5ths of fuck all as its registered overseas.....
Then they'll fuck off when its all gone & leave us to clean up the mess.
Which'll add another several % to my rates...

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. Why would anyone do anything like that to their own country? You make it sound like we'd be powerless to defend ourselves against the wishes of overseas entities. Perhaps it is because they believe in a world without borders? Surely that's a good thing? Much easier to manage the global budget and resources i.e. collaboration (tui), from a central position? Would that make JK the final PM of NZ ?

    I doubt it mate....

Its not a theory bro, its a fact. These are international agreements backed by international laws.Thats why at every WTO meeting you get thousands protesting.
I agreee with you though on a world without borders &/or a World Govt. Most of our problems dont recognise borders.
But would we be willing to let in bulk immigrants/refugees...cant see the right liking that idea.Though often its the immigrants who know what its like to really struggle who make better more conscentious employees than your typical drug fucked /chip on thier shoulder kiwi who doesnt no how fucking lucky we are mate.
The problem with a world Govt is that it'll be like the U.N where seemingly a group of 5or 6 countries have more "right"s than the rest & can veto & thus make any initiative a no goer....especially when its all about business all the time.

I suspect he's being sarcy. Sadly most people don't believe our govt would do this to us.

You could argue that proves we're dumb enough to deserve it.
