you cant get bored in the SI unless you have no imagination or are a piece of untreated timber. Its even more difficult if your taking a 690 with you

Hey .chris *sips red stag* damn you and your welled stocked bar

The ride out to Titirangi bay (M.sounds) is nice, and there is a beaut little pylon track between Penzance bay and Elaine bay, don't try in the wet. The ride out to French Pass is o.k. too, with a side trip to Waitata/Bulwer. Suggest you flick Underground a p.m. I gather he lurks around out that way and may know where else you can go
Your more than welcome at casa Jatz if you make it over this way

I am pretty sure they provide you with these at passport control.

I did stay with Jeff last time I was around that region, he gave me a good tour of the place (his local tracks and up to Bulwer), I think I tired that pylon track last time (from the Elaine Bay end) got stuck on a steepish rockwall which was covered in slime and had a creek running down it. I even stripped all the gear off the bike and had a decent run at it, but had no luck getting up. Was a fun waste of a few hours tho.

I could be tempted to come over and vist Jatzville, a good excuse to do the Mangatapu track. And I have not seen much of that part of the country on a bike.

Not sure when the maitai road that leaads from the maunga into nelson will be open. As it stands you really need to be guided thru the forest into town unless you can get hold of a GPS route to follow.
