As a sports or cafe style bike rider, the 6ft high Apehanger bars on a Harley kill me after about a 1 minute of looking at them.
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

FXR150 10hr trip to Auckland (Yea I know 1st mistake was going to Auckland 2nd mistake was taking the "scenic route") think I'm 5'11"??? don't measure, my bikes don't have a height requirement to ride.

On the upside round trip only cost me about 35$ I believe (petrol was round $1.40 region at the time)

    Surprisingly for me Triumph Scrambler.

If you are taller, no problem, but a shortarse has a very close relatioship of right thigh to exhaust pipe: worst in traffic. Also the stock seat was appalling: looked nice but square edged dig into your legs and instead of foam they use depleted uranium. The accessory gel seat was way better but still had the "square edge" issue.

If you are taller than a gnome then you wont have those issues.

'71 Shovelhead Sportster. Right knee stuck out at an odd angle knocking against the aircleaner. Left thigh rubbing against the corner of the battery box. Luckily it was to unreliable to ride any distance.

Don't worry - you are not the first HD rider that has struggled to hold their head up on KB....

Most bikes with clip ons need better rearsets to be rideable...

My wee little Bandit has a pretty comfy seat.

Except for this one time I went out for a shakedown run after fitting a new fairing, by the time I stopped in Paeroa my arse was in absolute agony... then I jumped off the bike and a 14mm spanner fell out of my back pocket.

By the time we were half way home I could not feel my feet on the pegs or my poor bum on the seat. I was simply in a world of pain. Actually made him stop in Orewa (1/2 hour or so to home) and told him I was walking the rest of the way LOL.

As a crusier rider, that's my biggest gripe. Most of them have a rider seat that resembles a lazyboy rocker, then provide a pillion seat that resembles a sanitary pad (without the proverbial wings).

My SV1000s had a torture rack plank seat, thank god I sorted the bars and seat before my bum fell off.

I suppose this is my most uncomfortable. Just put 5mm seat foam over the fibreglass tail, low bars, high-ish pegs, hard suspension, so padding. But, it's not too bad really.

2001 YZF-R1; a race bike with mirrors. Rode it to Queenstown and had back ache which prevented me going on a day ride to Glenorchy. Came home and traded it for a Firestorm.
