At the risk of accusing you of being serious...my best guess is that the Akzel rooster has already received a good dose of beatings?! How else could he come up with such skewed ways of looking at things?? Ah hang on, maybe he learned it from that Scuba Steve astronaut...

Just an example of my office window view...from the onboard camera on a 20 metre fuel truck & trailer.

The dumb thing here is I was fully expecting the woman driver with snail like reactions to just turn left...and the guy who came past me may have learned about appropriate differential speeds today?

Be interesting to hear the Police version of this one....

    yeah right
i don't quite see the link between "training" and "license" could you explain this to me?
i say yes. i have the right to travel as and where i please. now, i'm sure you'd rather that i travel in some kind of vehicle on the road, rather than say, through the park, through your yard, through the shopping malls etc.
and you'd rather that that vehicle was of a warrantable standard, whether or not i've paid the whatever$ for some jerk off to tick the boxes on his sheet, and that the vehicle was designed for the road, rather than say, a tank. innit?

now. you say i do not have that right? by what authority?

unlikely i would. i'm in the middle of writing a strongly worded letter to the last policy enforcement officers that thought it'd be a good idea to act the shithead.

i can't wait. RASTUS!, i'm'a comin fo' ya!
(have your chequebook handy. interacting with me costs police money.)

Maybe a race license exemption would have been a good idea with the CC limit.

    Anyway, just random thoughts :-)

yes and no. and if i get bored enough tomorrow i'm going through the LAMS list and working out their power-weight ratios.
my bike is ~220kW/t (and 750cc) but it's not exactly the kind of bike one'll do themselves a mischief on. going fast requires a bit of work.

maybee when the licenses start making sense & meaning something other then "I gave the Govt some money"
I mean bikes should only have learners -> full, you're either learning or you know, restricted is just a money grab
& I'm driving a vehicle that should be above my licence grade but the Govt's fucked round with weight limits so much just so people can drive their SUV's & tourist's can cruise round in campers that I'm able to drive it on class 1. It's a worry knowing that the 80% that can't operate cars properly are also able to hop into something of similar size/weight on their class 1's too, they're not as forgiving as cars & cause alot more damage when shit goes wrong.
yeah. i want to see power-weight ratio for a) city folk and b) 15 year old girls in mum/dads (matching) SUVs and c) asians. all of them. except the japanese folk who do awesome skids in skylines. but shit. that might actually achieve something.

Keep up the good work rastuscat!
uhh. you think it works like that ehh? if i choose to pay fines, that they take less tax from you?
    yah. sure.
what if i don't like you. maybe people like you should just "fuckoff to somalia", then i'd be happier here =) and you wouldn't have to pay tax! win-win-win.

    did i miss something good?
skewed. what's skewed about my perception?

and rastus bud. you never answered my Q.
am i obliged to hold a license?

Yup, what bogan said. They can write them out for up to 14 days in advance, ie, if you get the WOF within 14 days of it being due, you can keep the original date. However, you can't extend the WOF, ie, get it 5 days before expiry and add 9 days on the end. Only doing the WOF after the due date will push the date further than 6 months.

Hell yeah, every day is precious! It was a 5min job for him and I'm entitled to it. Visiting twice a year now is enough of a pain to make them count.

Anyway, back to rastuscat, I've derailed his thread. Like everyone else, you get good days and bad days. Enjoy the good ones, they make up for the bad ones...

On the form you fill out at most WOF stations there is a place to put the expiry date of the current WOF. This is their prompt ( if entered) when writing the new expiry date.

For best effect be sure to make gratuitous use of the words "WAHH WAHH WAHH" and "BOO HOO HOO".
