Its a KLR he should be glad to have gotten rid of it. Now he can buy something decent.

hope he manges to get it sorted - couldn't quite bring myself to say back

Yeah, yeah -- well I have a hard time finding a part of NZ I didn't go on that thing, it was pretty good about going in anywhere and out anywhere.
Anything else I buy I got to immediately upgrade if I want any range.

No offence intended - standing joke here on KB to bash KLR's and DR's and their riders. We KTM riders are holier than thou so above this petty behaviour (insert Tui Yer right about here!) Stink to have anything stolen - I know from experience.

I had two different DR's and a XTZ750 Super Tenere (an even porkier, longer range KLR - though it has Dakar winning relations) before I drank the orange cool aid

I have places to take the KLR that may well challenge you. Have a look at http://www.db1k.com/ (I organise it).

    Cheers R

Cut the nuts off whoever did it!

I had an XR250 stolen quite a few years ago (the days when it was safe to leave a bike on the side the road with no lock or ignition...).

    I hope they find it

Sorry Young1 for your loss but you may be a bit optimistic getting your XR back after all these years
