    There is lots of torque from an electric motor, but there is also from a supercharged internal combustion engine. I think the advantage is 100% of the torque is available as soon as the motor is turning. So if you can stop it torching the tyres, it leaves any speed corner with as much punch as the next.

    Limiting factor is weight/battery life I'd think, but I am far from knowledgeable in these things. I'm merely saying what I've been told by others.
