Yeah I''ll take a CRT depending on size.
But I'm in the south island.

Ah.
Got a 32" (it was "big" at the time) flat/widescreen CRT. Paid $2,500 for it, pretty much top of the line at the time (LCD's were still $5,000 or so then).
It does progressive scan and all that. A couple of digital view modes (100Hz scan and Pixel plus). Fantastic sound.
Basically worth nothing, but so good I can't bear the thought of dumping it (even after having gotten over the "but I paid $2,500!!!" stage).
I can only just carry it around the house by myself, so definitely wouldn't be worth sending anywhere.
I'd maybe drop-off to a (local) KB member...

What's all this??? I reluctantly sold my 28 inch "Toshiba Bomba" CRT TV for $55 a year ago and people are talking about throwing them out?!? What is the world coming to?
Ride fast or be last.
(I do think this is an example of why we're "using up" this Planet. It's so much cheaper to buy new than fix old, for so many things, we just keep making and making stuff. Did I really need a new 55" Plasma (around two years ago) to replace that 32" CRT? Not really. But I wanted to. So some factory had to make that new Plasma, and the old CRT will get dumped/semi-recycled. Can that really keep going on and on?)

If I'm gonna pilfer the local community of their old CRT; knowing the screen size & depth of the unit would be handy. Depth would greatly effect what I may use it for.
Biggest tv I have here is a 25" LCD I was given.
Then I got a 20" CRT in my bedroom and a 17" CRT in the workshop.
If there's a big demand to get rid of them, I'm happy to collect them up and offer them to locals who had their houses destroyed or similar. You would hope any sensible person would have a tv as low priority for purchasing, so a free CRT would probably be a grateful donation.
