Hi fellow bikers. Does anyone know of a suspension guru, amateur or professional, in the Auckland area, who can service and/or set up my suspension for me?
Cheers

I could tell you but here is a more fun way
Listen carefully,do exactly as I say
1)Start a thread entitled:NZ Motorcycle Parts Retailers and Suspension Experts are Overpaid Fat Cat Bastards Who Rip Everyone Off
2)Sit back and wait, and like a genie out of a bottle he will appear soon enough.![]()

Supercross Cycles? Not sure if its still called that but his name is Norm Cobb
Matt Watson isn't too bad either, and while he normally does off road bikes, he pulled apart a ZX10R shock a few years ago for me. http://www.motocrossnz.co.nz/main.html

I have tried myself a few times, but just can't get the same results that the experienced guys can.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
I rode my GSX-R from Auckland down to New Plymouth to get it re-valved. Setting up the stock suspension is easy enough if you just watch Dave Moss's stuff on Youtube. But if you want it to really work properly, then depending on your weight you might want to get it re-valved a bit.
I rode down on Thursday afternoon, meeting my cousin with his Daytona part way, and we mooched around New Plymouth while Robert and Dennis did their thing on our bikes, and then rode home again Friday afternoon. It wasn't the cheapest mod I've made to my bike, but it sure was the best, and the ride there and back was sweet.

Aiden (probably spelt that wrong), at Takanini Yamaha is supposed to be "the bees knees" for bike setup. Spent time in Aussie as a tech on a superbike team I am told.
havn't tried him out yet, but will be once my racebike is back on track.
If you can keep your head when all about you are loosing theirs.........it's quite possible you haven't grasped the situation.
Warren Bridger in Glen Eden did my suspension on the cbr600, he does race bikes also :-P knows what he's talking about - 09 8361547
