yeah the number of points would need to be worked out. Imagine if jorge had to give up 5 points for a new engine right now, would tighten that gap ever so much more.

Wouldn't mind betting he would! They probably knock the output back as the km's get added on to them. So wouldn't mind betting he'd like to be able to run full power to see the midget off!

Think he'll have the class/determination/skill over Pedro to win it this year regardless. Weird as it may sound...I'd kinda like to see Pedro win it. It may give him the belief that perhaps he's been missing to win titles? And I'm a huge Lorenzo fan.

    Hope Casey doesn't get jealous.

So if you tip over and stick it in the sand pit and lose an engine that's your tough luck, but if you go down as part of someone else's accident and lose an engine you get a new one.
so will they also review the finishing order if you go down in someone elses accident?

i think its a leap to far for Casey now...anything can happen of course.Woulkd like to see Danny win fair and square. He has alwyas had the outright pace at times,if only he can string a few more together,if casey can get in between Jorge and Dani we could have a nail biter!

haha yeah I actually wouldnt be too upset either to be honest, he's the eternal almost guy, never quite made it there, would be great to see it happen. He seems to me to have been a quiet achiever this season. Like he's still getting better in leaps and bounds, its just that lorenzo and stoner's leaps have overshadowed his progress because their leaps have been just that tiny bit bigger each year.

If lorenzo takes a new engine and starts from pit lane, who knows, of the result of that was lorenzo finished say 5th or 6th, with stoner, pedro 1 and 2, how does that affect the points? stil what, 6 or 8 races left? so 200 odd points worth of 1st place finishes up for grabs.

Why would they?? How would they?? There's no way you can say Lorenzo was 3rd when Bautista took him out so he would've finished 3rd. That's lunacy.

I think it was pretty much over for Stoner when he threw it away in Germany. The ankle seals the deal. Pity...because it looked like he was starting to get the Honda sorted, as has Pedro.

But Pedro and Lorenzo are the two class acts this season...so fair enough it's coming down to which is classiest!

Lorenzo is the ONE guy that I reckon could threaten Rossi's record of nine titles. He's young enough, good enough, and hates Rossi enough.

If he wins every championship (including this one) until he equals 9 that'll put him at 32 years old ...... hmm
