Maniseal has fixed header leaks, cannot find any there, have a huge leak from the 2-1 collector, but that's an entirely different noise an obnoxious single cylinder noise to be exact

What do ya reckon I'd be looking for in teh carb?
It's a horrible rattle, gets louder when warmer and does your typical noise off the throttle of really loose valve clearances

Ruled out oil pressure issues, new oil pump, new filter, blew the galleries out etc, flows well
Even tried it without an oil filter

I ran it on 100:1 pre mix, then while I was going down a main jet size chucked a wee bit of 2t in the bowl so I could make sure it was getting through
Snoked like a 2t, but no decrease in noise.
So today has learned, it's not the valves smashing the seats
    It's not oil pressure

It has to be the fucking clearances.
If anyone can manage to stop this noise I'll give them beer, I'll help drink it though

It's mounted to the intake rubber, that's it
I'll have a good check tomorrow, but I'm fairly positive it's not hitting anything.

sure you didnt leave your keys in it?

My keys have been missing for about a week now, got home tonight and heard a bad rattle from under the tank, took the tank off and fired it up, was in the airbox, took the filter out and seen nothing fired it up and no noise..

my keys were in the air filter..

    Without a doubt,
This is why when your finishing up all of your wiring with the tank off, you dont booze up haha

I figured the booze thing out when I wound a stator wrong, pissed.

This noise does really have me fucked.
It's a typical valve noise, or cam chain noise. But the chain's tight and new etc.

It's sad to say I am losing sleep over a GN I could live with the noise if it wasn't so fucking loud.

Or if it'd hurry up and throw a valve through the piston, then I'd be able to solve it
