That's a bit melodramatic, I don't think post 357 said that, if that is the one you are referring to.

I'd cut back on the donuts. The sugar is bad for you.

As long as that wasn't my joke about the boil up Like I said I would prefer the donuts than a rubbery old cop

BTW you didn't answer the question about the WOFs so I am going to assume that was just a taxation offence as well, given the stats didn't show any booking for unsafe bikes and there were none for bikes with current WOF but unsafe. Thanks for the answer in absentia.

So my reading of the stats are 8 tickets for not paying taxes through various agencies.

Four for no license, now that's an interesting one because after the initial testing phase the license is nothing but a tax you pay every ten years now and is the initial test that relevant? and none of the offences were for riding offences which implies they were riding as if they had a license (don't mean much sometimes). As one was disqualified then at least one of the four had qualified for a license and then refer brackets. Too deep, leave that for another thread.

Actually no really probs with weekend checks but hate random stops on the commute, I ride just ahead of the rush so a random stop would delay me just enough to be just in the crap traffic.

    Keep up the good work.

That's remarkably close to what Stuart Murray Wilson ('The Beast of Blenheim') says about his penchant for bestiality. Don't suppose you've got any goats at home?

You are wasting your time. You are wasting tax payer money. You are wasting the money put into training you. (where you is whoever is directing you to do this)

If they're constantly going to allow 250km/hr cars and 300km/hr motorcycles into the country, that have but two purposes... racing and breaking the open road speed limit... then things will never change. Ever. Never going to happen. You already know that all you're going to do is shift the problem to another road, if you even manage to succeed at that.

Good luck fighting the human condition, you're going to need it.

    Gosh, sorry dude.

BTW, stopped a bloke this morning for not wearing a seatbelt, ticket issued. While I was writing up my notes, I saw a bloke on a TL1000 coming down the road wearing no gloves. Sweatshirt, jeans, work boots. A small voice in my head told me (quite loudly actually) to have a look so I flagged him in. The conversation went like this.

I said "Hi, I've stopped you because you aren't wearing gloves, and we find quite often that people who ride bikes with no gloves quite often don't have bike licences. Can I see your licence please"

He said "I don't have one".

Enquiries showed that he was disqualified. I got to ride the bike onto the back of the tow truck. It had no reg or warrant, but was really tidy. No tickets issued for the reg and warrant, sorry to have wasted evven more of your tax dollar.

    C'est la vie.

a targeted stop using good detective skills there. Real police work not just a tax collector.
    Give that man some donuts.

Ya know what... I would have nailed his arse for the no rego, why due to the lack of gear he was wearing had he arsed up and required medical treatment with NO REGO means he aint paying his ACC levie, no those of us dresed corect and paying acc have to pay for that prick, that fucks me off.

I don't like the parallel you draw, it implies things to my subconscious that start sparking the anger response for no real reason.

bark bark...oh fuck, that's the wrong tree.

If this guy works, acc is paid on his behalf. More than he will use in his lifetime obviously, since acc continues to make a profit.

    Rastus,
in one way i would love to 'get into' this thread, but reality is, there is an element of immature attitude, that I can guess is what makes your job seem 'worthless' at times.. it's a real shame some of the 'anti' brigade could not be made to walk in your riding boots for a week or two.
it's a bloody shame that there cant be a database of how the attitude would change on the day they 'need' the same anti social, nazi C***s they cry about in here.

For my part and I would hope many 'silent' others on here... the inconvenience of being stopped against the stopping of a dangerous vehicle, or an illegal driver?? No problem. When its the anti brigade who get hurt, or a friend is hurt or killed would be the first to 'cry' the popo didnt do enough to prevent it......... GROW UP FFS!!!

    Donuts, with sprinkles!

then why do we pay so farking much in our rego's? hey I rode last weekend less rego and wof but I wore all the right gears and only hit 220 once... my point is (if I have one) they reckon acc levie is based on the money spent on bikers per year, how much could have been saved if the right gear is worn? ever wonder why you hit the track with all gears but when stunting ya dont?
    cheers DD
