I'm not taking the camera this Sunday, way to much of a video backlog on the PC already.

They are all listed at www.myrides.co.nz
Personally I'm not likely to get to many if any before DB1k day arrives. Had thought they could be good practice but not so much as they are dirt, DB1k challenges seem to be more chunky gravel/small rocks up hills and more water crossings than typical in these trail rides. Actually flag that, anything semi technical should help right? even if it only helps fitness and balance.
Found a rough video presumably from last years Flagpole ride at Glentunnel... http://youtu.be/Bncc00xBiLc

Wot! No vid of me making a wally of myself
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Careful, last man to say something like that got my full and undivided attention on the next slippery ride we went on.

I won't be going to dalethorpe cause life got in the way. Currently in nelson. Keep in touch about trail rides - I'll be looking for another ride if I can get to one!

I'd be happy enough with TangoCharlie's map.

Meet at the Taitapu garage at 10am, depart 10:30... Sunday.
Could potentially do Ahurini Rd on the way to Gebbies, then over Gebbies round to Bay View Rd etc etc to Purau, Western Valley as per the map.
See ya then - Ahurini Rd sounds good TA - dont think been down it

Ye ha, all good fun today.
Darn bike is dirty enough from the ride home (via going back up Bay View) that it look so much like it's been near a trail ride that I'm going to have to actually wash it this time.
Rumour has it a couple of people let their bikes fall over on the Bayview decent this morning. Only a rumour though as no cameras were present at the time.

Edit: just discovered I've trampled mud inside the flat, now I'm going to have to get the vacuum cleaner out too !!
Good thing it's now officially Spring.

Yep another great ride, a couple of new spots that I didn't know where there.
I feel more tired from this ride than I did last weekend probably why I needed the lay down this morning

I enjoyed the day and company of like minded blokes! Spent the last hour on the Procycle Web Site, lusting after the High Compression Piston & Cam, but at $US630 I might have to dream on!
They have the Cam Specs on the site, so I might ask around locally to see if I could get my one ground to these.?

Look forward to the next ride.

Great day Mate, I am glad we tackled the muddy uphill!
Can you advise the link for the tyre tool you talked about at Little River?
