    Saturday Ride?

Anyone fancy another ride this Saturday? Weather looks ok at this stage! Perhaps another Banks Pen adventure?...

then do pig saddle - starting whitecliffs end - when come out can decide if want to shoot up porters and go in back way to lake coleridge - come out hororata way - take shingle back towards Waimak and home ?

I'd be keen, not sure of the names of all this (pig saddle?) so may or may not know what your talking about for after lunch.

I actually think Darfield has better pies and I want to call in on Don at Pit Lane so may bail out at the Darfield exit then catch back up if I have a quick lunch stop (quick, yea right )

Yeah sweet - gives us more time to chow down on pies ........

Pig Saddle - one end of it is where the tar seal ends past whitecliffs (just up road from glentunnel) - comes out back-end of Sheffield if I recall - decades ago since I use to rally old ladies 1800 in the wee hours with few mates onboard Either way as most probably know it nice rolling country in those parts - have a bit of an explore ......

There's a engineer guy I know with a BMW who's put up a notice asking if any other stuff are interested in adventure riding.

Is there someone who's willing to give up their name and number and I can pass it along (or I can ask him the same)

I'll be coming down on Friday morning to meet her, unless it's raining in which case I may just stay home.
Anyone know about "starvation gully" out Akaroa way ? It had been recommend as a nice ride

I'll pm you my number but I prefer to do stuff via the forum mostly or email sometimes.

Yes we know about Starvation Gully, it's a steep gravel/dirt road with a few sharp bends and at the end you have to turn around and leave the way you came. It climbs out of Pigeon Bay.
The whole Peninsular is a nice ride.

Do you reckon a Drz400sm with avon distanzas or similar would be able to play with you lot?

Only you could answer that question, you'll probably have to bring it out and have a go to discover the answer, so see you there... Belfast, The Peg Hotel carpark - at 10am Saturday 10:20 depart they say.
