There have been well in excess of 1,000,000 people killed by acts of agression from the west in the name of "peace and civilisation" since 9/11. There's already death and destruction in our future and it's not being brought to you by Iran!

The "protesters" in Sydney are mainly young, disaffected and unemployed...and born in Australia!

Anyway - have you seen that movie - there should be rioting - for crimes against movie making. Fuck me, a Kindergarten group could make a better movie than that!

    Fantasy world?

Many reports put the figure at around Three Million people having their lives ended prematurely by the actions of the Brits, Yanks, Aussies and Kiwis.
The Blockades that we supported and manned and the destruction of the infrastructure (Power and Water) were contributing factors in addition to the daily bombing for years and years and years. It became so ordinary the media just stopped reporting it.
Pilots reportedly ran out of targets. Some resorted to bombing farmhouses and mobs of sheep!
The former Irish Prime Minister who went there as a UN Special envoy described the situation in terms something like the greatest human tradgedy in modern history.

You are behaving like a Holocaust denier.

Your last line is simply ridiculous.

It will be for the greater good. What amuses, or rather worries me, is the amount of hypocrisy around here.

In Islamic cultures, for example, women are treated as objects and have very few rights. In Saudi Arabia, they are not even allowed to drive. In many other Islamic countries, women are forbidden from even spending any time alone with a male who is not part of her family or husband. Sex outside of marriage is forbidden and carries severe consequences. Men are allowed several wives. If this sort of behaviour or ideology were to happen in NZ, it would cause outrage at an unprecedented level.

Freedom of religion is also banned in Islamic countries. Islam is the only religion.

So these people are so intent on removing the freedoms of their citizens, yet you lot want to encourage such a regime. You don't want to be directly responsible for this happening, but are happy to sit back and watch it happen.

We have to be careful that we do not fall into the same naive thinking called the 'Neville Chamberlain Syndrome'. That's what led to WW II... The rationalisation and excuses for the rise of Nazism, the invasion of various minor countries and finally a stand against it. Or complacency: The Yanks never thought the Japanese would bomb Pearl Harbour. Stalin didn't think Hitler would back stab him and invade Russia. Mussoulilini? Well, he knew how to wear a uniform...

History repeating itself... Now, however, the Islamic elements are well-entrenched in the very countries that once could effectively oppose a rise of Islamic fanaticism, in part thanks ironically to the rejection of religion, namely Christianity in these formerly Christian countires, and embracing secularism and political correctness.

Bush was a moron and an easily manipulated dullard, so calling him a Christian is a stretch by far... Be that as it may, the way things are going, sooner or later it will be them (Muslim fanatics) pounding on your door threatening to break it down, sell your women and rape your sheep. What will you do about it when that time comes? Say, "Wait! I'm sympathetic to your cause, I feel your pain!"?? Right before they cut your throat?

Of course, from a religious point of view we all worship the same God anyway.... (sigh)

    Steve Earle said it best...

    Jerusalem
    (Steve Earle)

I woke up this mornin' and none of the news was good
And death machines were rumblin' 'cross the ground where Jesus stood
And the man on my TV told me that it had always been that way
And there was nothin' anyone could do or say

And I almost listened to him
Yeah, I almost lost my mind
Then I regained my senses again
And looked into my heart to find

That I believe that one fine day all the children of Abraham
Will lay down their swords forever in Jerusalem

Well maybe I'm only dreamin' and maybe I'm just a fool
But I don't remember learnin' how to hate in Sunday school
But somewhere along the way I strayed and I never looked back again
But I still find some comfort now and then

Then the storm comes rumblin' in
And I can't lay me down
And the drums are drummin' again
And I can't stand the sound

But I believe there'll come a day when the lion and the lamb
Will lie down in peace together in Jerusalem

And there'll be no barricades then
There'll be no wire or walls
And we can wash all this blood from our hands
And all this hatred from our souls

And I believe that on that day all the children of Abraham
Will lay down their swords forever in Jerusalem

Tell me this wouldn't eradicate Islamic jihad, extremism, terrorism/whatever you want to call it, and generally make the world more peaceful? It would end the "trillion dollar war" in a split second.

All that would do is fuck off the crazies in Indonesia and Malaysia....

Killing the internet would stop this because there would be less of a platform for morons to show off on....
