    Malcy25 had a one I think

I have wondered if a RZ350 engine could be made to reverse cylinder for a repower, parts are cheap and available for the RZ/Banshee engine

Parts Manuals here, did alot of cross referning numbers while mucking around with 3XV TZR

I have got a review of the "New" TZ250w and TZR250 somewhere, will scan it when I find it

That'd be Tony then,Think you'll find he never had a "W" though,He rode BJs "S" for a year and then when his "U" was due to arrive they discovered he had some problem with his eyesight that wasn't gonna get better anytime soon so they pulled out of the deal and JR ended up with it,Still has it in his garage,I'm sure the Chow will fill in anything I missed out

Yeah, the chow should know - most of the Wgtn guys seemed to be on his dollar....

I was scrutineering the GP thru that period and I'm pretty sure Beaker presented a reverse cylinder TZ - but we only ever saw him down here for the Nats so I've no idea if it was a one off ride..
I assume you're referring to BJ's eyesight ? Beaker's eyesight problem was having to keep an eye out for people he owed money to...

Loved my rev cylinder. Just can't keep everything.

parts, not so hard (www.accu-products.com and the usual 2 stroke guys). Some parts are being remade and there are other alternatives too. Things like pistons, if you recut heads, the later pistons are a good upgrade I hear.

RDjase. Wash your mouth out about putting an RZ motor in there.....

RZ would only be a alterative if TZ parts were made of unobtanium, Good there still available.
From memeory going thru those parts manuals alot of parts were the same between the earlier TZ s an t model, crank wise anyway. My 1KT/2XT TZR250 has a TZ crank

Would be a awesome RZ repower

So If your TZR has the 2XT bits i am assuming it has the bigger reeds and inlets and carbs that were peculiar to the 2XT model?

By the way all the reverse cylinder TZR/TZ motors were hard on... umm....hardware.but the rule of candles applies as usual

Last I heard there are still a few A model TZ's lying around sheds in shakeytown.

and parts for the reverse models(road and track)are still readily available from Japan

Yep, 2XT heaps different. 8 petal reed blocks, nikisol cylinders, ignition and ypvs controler, wider wheels, rear shock, carbs............ The rods have ??? (cant remember off hand) on them and it came up a TZ125 code.

All the reverse cylinder bikes look so great, wonder why the were hard on parts
