I can't even raise much derision for them... they're just treated with indifference like all other non-motorcycles.

Good for them... however, that's not relevant to 'is it a motorcycle'.

That's awesome. Me, I could give two shits what they do. Ride, drive, bike, fly, whatever.... if they're not doing it on a motorcycle, they just don't feature on the radar.

They can be on the road all the like... but in response to the first question, which was what's the etiquette regarding waving etc... no, I do not wave at them, they're not motorcycles and thus not motorcyclists.

That too is awesome. Completely irrelevant though (btw he's not a motorcyclist, he's a triker (or whatever a trike rider is called), that's all.
Getting a bit pedantic aren't you. This is KB chill out a bit. Who do you ride for ? Not all of us ride with a patch on our shoulder

Heres the NZTA definition of a motorcycle:
"means a motor vehicle running on 2 wheels, or not more than 3 wheels when fitted with a sidecar; and includes any vehicle with motorcycle controls declared by the Chief Executive for the Ministry of Transport to be a motorcycle; but does not include a moped."

No, what you are is an idiot. This tangential drivel is representative of how baseless your argument is. If you're not a motorcycle rider, you're not a motorcyclist. Pretty simple stuff.
