    cool.

Have the 94 gen 5 classic - never regretted and cheap to run. tours, commutes, carries pot plants and dog, and nothing seems to upset them.

Your spotless garage needs a full carpet befitting the bike.

We've got same bike, '06, its brilliant for touring, very comfy two-up, and reliable as hell. BUT, anywhere near 50,000kms, take my advice, throw away the camchain tensioners, and fit manual ones. Mine dropped a camchain guide, blinded the oil pickup, and rooted the motor. I imported a used one from Oz in the end. I also ditched the rear shock, fitted an Ohlins, best money spent, and also you've got to do the $30 exhaust core job, the bike sounds so much better. Two hours with a holesaw and Dremel, job done.
    Ride safe mate.

Those bloody Churmans! (still "addicted" to there bearings! )

I actually looked at getting a 06 F800s! ...great bikes, look sexy and of course have the "usual" BMW build standards (Z perfect standards!)...I just couldn't quiet stretch the budget that far. (And I really needed a "rehab" ride to replace the Guzzi to allow the shattered shoulder to heal)

But VERY happy with getting the VFR ...I always wanted one of the gen4 750s after racing a little VFR400-NC30 (Mad MAD! bikes those)

    Ride safe Rastuscat

The VFR is a great bike. I enjoyed mine.

A radar detector is a good accessory because by the time the wind takes the weight off your wrists you are likely to travelling at such velocity as to attract the attention of the Polis. Nothing dangerous mind, but enough to incur additional road tax.

Never done a full study, but over a range of street bikes for 20 years or so, Kwaka usually seem to get more kw out of every cc than others & with less weight. They have put a lot of time into developing engines for aircraft. The demand for more HP pr lb of engine weight started with the Wright brothers I believe, and it has never eased off! (Racetrack engines that have to be rebuilt every 10 hours don't figure with me.)

It's usually at that point that Kawasaki runs outta budget and just raids their parts bin to build the rest of their bike... My ZX6R had a rear shock made mostly of granite - though in fairness to Kawasaki it was probably a lightweight granite.
You only need two tools in life:
Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't.
WD-40 if it doesn't move and it should.

Failure comes from too little brute force, or
    too little ignorance.
