Don't let an accident keep you from doing the things you love

Why waste energy trying to live life more safely? Safety is a myth. Let’s embrace life with all its risks, enjoy ourselves and really feel alive.

    Inspiration?...possibly.
He didn't have an accident though...he suffered a Category 4 Sub Arachnoid Haemorrhage while pottering in his shed.
But I get what he is saying, and while its an great read from his personal view point, I would imagine its been done time and time again over the years.
As the saying goes, ''Behind every great man is a great woman'' and those fortunate enough to have that support while going through rehabilitation after an event like that?...thats where the inspiration comes from....the love and support of those around you.
Saftey is no myth, its an actual, and is constructed from within. Best applied liberally.

I like what he is saying though, quote

"But mostly I hope it might help you see your riding and what it’s really worth from a different angle. It’s not just a selfish hobby. It can be self-improvement, too"

It reads like the part in Bear Grylls book when he broke his back and was discharged from the SAS.

The goal keeps you looking forward.

And Bear climbed Mt Everest (pushing his body further than it should have been).

He also drinks the fluid from cow shit... does that inspire you?

Hillary climbed Everest in 1953 with far inferior gear/support than what Grylls would have had..now theres inspiration.
