    now thinkin about maybe leaving around 9 - 9:30 with a quick stop half way. also anyone who comes is welcome to come to my place in awakeri after for a coffee or beer or somethng and and bit of a chat. let me know if this suits. cheers

    i will try make it but also cant comfirm just yet. I know on the saturday my young fella has a comp day at athletics but at this stage the sunday is free unless the boss decides she has plans for me.

    The road is good - I rode it a couple of weeks ago ... the slip area is fine - a short piece (hundred yards?) on the rough bit - no hassles ... but it's not two hours ...

    Up or down the gorge will be fucking fun on an R1 ... if it's your first time on a bike watch for cars coming the other way .... every time I've ridden the gorge section at least one car has come round a corner on the wrong side of the white line ... give yourself a little left in case you have to dodge ...
