    FNAR, any takers?

Anyone doing Mike Brittons Far North ride this December?

I'm in the throes of seeking permission and saving coffee money to go, seeing as I am keeping the 640 it will be friday ride up north, two days of FNAR and a late sunday return, camping on site, I just need to find my man card and the tent!

Should be a great weekend, the 20th running of the ride and back at the far north, hopefully I won't embarrass myself as I did last time (passed by a DR!!)

Im thinking but not willing to pay up front as seasonal wevva dependant work may intervene. However, if i see an opening i will contact Mike or Ange and see if i can be a late entry- 'self catering'.
    Who knows.......it might work.
I'm no gynaecologist, however I would be happy to take a look......................

I'm intending on heading up to Poutu Point just after New year for 2-3 days camping off the bike.

Gonna be crowded up there with DR's then. I am going up there too, usual long days in the saddle and DOC camping in the far north.

Let me know what your plans are. I'm not planning on heading north of Poutu Point but want to explore that area. Have a cooker now so just need some pots and I'm good to go for camping.

buy a trangia. available in 2 and 4 person sizes, with extras available, 2l billy, ie. well worth the money, runs on meths (available most places) fairly storm proof. well worth the money.

ohyes. cooker, 2 pots, pan and kettle rolls into size about 1/3 of most sleeping bags.

otherwise an opti-fuel majig. but i've gone off those unless i was planning to climb for days.
