I would have to agree, a bit more information would be nice. I'd hate to go off all half-cocked about a situation I did not understand fully.
So anyway, were the car stopped in the left lane for the red light, or were they parked on the side of the road? Plus the car that tailgated you - was it in the left lane behind you, and didn't slow down when you were looking for room to change, or was he in the middle lane and failed to adjust his driving once you had moved into the gap? Paint us a picture with your words.
One thing that does throw me the first few times in Auckland is the places where there are two lanes, but the left one also has parking spots. Suddenly you go from a narrow lane to something that would make me uncomfortable to fit my bike in, let alone a car. I mean, I like it tight, but that is pushing it!
Anyway it's good to hear you at least made it out of there physically undamaged.![]()
