Deal. Jump on at Ahipara and off at Tepaki Stream? Bit of fresh water to wash any salt off, and a good hose down afterwards

    The Grader has been!

    Greetings all,

Cruised into Kaitaia today for the groceries and ..........

the Peria - Fairbairn section of gravel that most of you did twice on Saturday has now been completely graded over the last three days.

Great fun on a DRZ250 but wouldn't have been too much fun for those with less experience if we all had done it this afternoon.

    The importance of timing.

I'm happy to join any one that wants a run up 90 Mile Beach on next years event.

I rode home from Auckland yesterday afternoon - and hit solid rain from Waipu all the way home - ended up far wetter than I was on Saturday by the time I got home. Still 1,681km since leaving home on Friday morning.

And it was raining today as well - still is as I type this!

Rain actually binds a newly graded surface together pretty well - until you get to the point where there has been too much rain and you get slush - and on a DRZ slush is FUN!

Which is why I have more than one motorcle - and now I have two very dirty bikes to clean.
