These are the canadian dudes I was telling some of you about on the ride. Nice mix of spills, humour, idiocy and technical knowledge. Bikes include DR650 which seems to get drowned often, beemers and kwakas.

Adventure Guide will have videos added to the routes to make them more interesting and informative, especially for some of the more technical tracks. This is video test number 1 of a local track.

It’s much much steeper and slipperier than it looks folks!!

And it looks like you had a lot of fun doing it. How many time did you have to ride each section?

Rode each section just the once, shuffled the camera up as I progressed. Lots of fun alright, Smiley Creek Track is a good name as you basically smile all the way up!

    I counted three dabs

Great bit of videoing there Josh. Short & sweet. A short bit of helmet cam would have been cool mixed in there as well. Also some interesting commentary - not asking for much am I?

What was it shot with & did you have a mini tripod.

Iyt would be good if there was someway of showing how steep terrain is on a video, I remember looking at a ride I did with Nordie on a slope where if you stopped there's no way you could start again yet it looked flat as a pancake - the revs was the giveaway.

    Well done

cool video, a lesson in how to shift your weight to maintain balance, nice control of the right wrist also. Now lets see some bloopers footage?

On second veiw I counted 5 dabs

I've done plenty of editing and DVD mastering work for clients but this is my first attempt at actual filming. This was more of a test than anything and proved to be an interesting exercise, I learned quite a bit from this session. Once the Hero3 Black arrives I'll be using helmet cam and static cam footage to mix it up a little more. No doubt it'll take a while to perfect the skills to together top notch vids, but I have a particular editing style in mind plus a video project I am working on next year which should be pretty cool... that's all secret squirrel for now

Full size collapsible tripod, this vid simply would not have been able to be filmed without a tripod or a mini tripod, too much tall grass, ferns, branches etc

Totally agree, it amazes me how a camera can make the steepest of gnarly slopes look as intimidating as heading down your driveway. That track had some pretty steep slippery sections yet it looks like a dawdle on the vid. My initial thought is to have a hot chick in a bikini holding a builders level in all the shots

You'll need to pull your wallet out for secret hunting spots mate, should we start price negotiations at say $200
