    Good bike painter in Christchurch?

My Daytona fell over and broke a panel. Have got that repaired but looking for a good painter to match the red of my 99 Daytona. The painter I took it to said they could not match it as they were only car painters.

    So recommendations welcome

The bumper shop in sydenham do a lot of very good bike work. Chris Darling of Avon City Ford does all AvonCity Suzuki work and might do it as a cashie-recommend his work.

What a crock of shit from the car painters. Nothing special about bike paint - same as car paint, fark half a car is plastic now. I suspect what they were really saying was: "we don't do bikes because the owners expect a excellent job and proper colour matching, unlike the average shit we can turn out with car insurance jobs ........"

I had a guy on the one way east just by Fitz ave - (The Small Paint Shop or something similar) - touch up my tail piece on the Hornet after Septembers shake - he did a really good job of colour matching and blending it in to the existing paint to avoid replacing decals.

That's a crock - ANY car-painter worth his/her salt can get a match, eff-me, it's done with digital cameras and 'puters these days.

There's a Ch-ch sheila, "Addy' I think her name is, track her down and I'd be surprised if she couldn't do it.
EDIT: Addy drives a '57 Ford if that's any help.

Scummy I got a feeling they did not want to do it and was a cop out really after initially saying they could... or they were car just colour code painters...

I also gave them the panels either side for blending in as well as I requested. I also have done a replacement Daytona decal so they could strip the whole panel instead of trying to save the original...

I put them in the can not be farked group and yes just want to send out insurance jobs

Close, but it's more like "we don't do bikes because the owners expect a excellent job and proper colour matching for the same price as a shit job, unlike the average shit we can turn out with car insurance jobs where nobody disputes the bill ........"
