And not affect the OEM warantee?

The Kawasaki Z1000 (ZR1000B) is now officially a "touring" bike.

    I have ordered a black abs 2012 zx14r

Also ordered yoshi pipes and the ecu is being sent away to be reflashed

Looking forward to having it when its ready. Might take a month to have it ready for collection as the reflash is done by Guhl in USA and involves sending the ecu away.
Soooo, what happened to the fellow that was looking for a sport-tourer? He's turned into a drag racer...

    A bit late?

Prob a bit late, as you've ordered your bike. But did anyone mention the Sprint GT Triumph? (haven't read every post in this thread). I've just bought one for $20k new. ABS and huge panniers standard, excellent build quality, huge tank range. Wouldn't be fair to compare it to more sporty bikes but it goes and handles very well for a larger bike. I rode the 1400 concourse - massive, and couldn't get the screen at any position to not buffet my head! The VFR1200 is a seriously good bike to ride, tons of power and good handling, but man it got beaten badly with the ugly stick, also panniers are another $4kish on top. Botany Honda still have two new ones for $20k!

Anyway, hope you're happy with the ZX. Cheers.

Well its function is sports touring with a side serving of want to go over 200mph. Im getting the reflash mainly so I can switch traction control settings while riding

Brooks performance 375usd plus freight fo a re flash on the ecu if you get a 2012+ model is the only way to remove the speed limiter and the reduced hp in first and second gear. Its a guhl reflash.

I like the bike but if im going to have one ill want to get back into the odd quarter mile event on it. Cant have it doing 100 all the time.

I must admit when I took my wife out on the demo one it was great piece of bike. So much so she told me to buy it. I dont like to argue with my wife.

The only issue she had was the lack of foot clearance to the big stock mufflers from the passenger pegs so she insisted I get a set of r77 yoshis.

She's not realted to my missuss, by any chance? She did the same thing when I got the VFR (8 years ago now!)
And then again, when I was whingeing about all the windfalls I've had lately disappearing into house repairs, so she suggested I buy some toys. Obediently, I obliged: new helmet, Sena Bluetooth kits, and a new(ish) car. (<-that's for the wife, although I do love the car! Might even drive it occasionally...)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

And, if it takes a while at least you've got the MT01 to play with in the meantime.

Will do but its half assembled and dusty with pieces of crate brackets still attached at the moment.
Perhaps I should get some shots of it like that.

So the sister is deceased then?

    Sorry to hear it.
