its also these same slow drivers who magically speed up to cross a changing and often red light.

Does pinging people for things like holding up traffic come with more arguments in court at a later date than things "speed" that can be backed by radar read outs an such ?
What are the legal ramifications for passing some dickwad between Otaihanga and Waikanae in the new Visual barrier (ex passing lane) ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !

70k along the Waikanae Straight and on into Waikanae or Parm, 65-70 along the foreshore and through Pukerua Bay, slow to 80 as soon as the double lanes end at McKays or Pukerua bay hill and retain same on through, oh except at fishies where you increase to 90+ because there are side entrances with poor visability and short turn lanes the one point where the 80k limit is needed.
Please Berg stay away from the Pukerua Bay to Paekakariki foreshore when I find no traffic on that piece of ex 100k now 80 limited road.Nice flowing corners now with safety barriers to prevent head ons.

You wont have to worry about these drivers much longer, they wont get the chance to speed up.

What a fucking numpty. It is the lack of passing opportunities coupled with the driver above that results in the crush at the end. That said if you haven't got past by the end of the lane don't push it.Passing lanes are being blamed for the Paraparaumu to Levin highway being ranked as one of New Zealand's most most dangerous stretches of road, says NZ Transport Agency Wellington operations manager Mark Owen.
He even admits the real issue but still seems to think further frustrating the drivers is the answer,
Expect less passing lanes and slower trips.Mr Owen said driver frustration combined with merge points and high traffic volume on Kapiti-Horowhenua's section of the highway are linked to crashes.
"Typically we find that if there's a bit of driver frustration as traffic volumes build . . . the passing lane in itself might be okay but the merge point, that's where we end up having the crashes."
