he's unable to do the nationals as it clashes with the NZ Tap Dancing champs and as he's rated in the top five in NZ and may get a trip to Bangkok for the Worlds he's concentrating on that this year.

Not wanting to talk out of place but I talked to him at the bucket meet in Aucks a few weeks back and he was saying that he was going to take a year out this year......

What happened to Nick Coles bike?

Nick crashed at turn 3 the previous saturday and did quite a bit of damage to the bike. He then dropped it again on Fridays practice (turn 3 again) so that didnt help. ive been told the bikes up and running again and he will be down at manfield

and who saw the motards ride all over the yellow pit lane lines, dont know if any got disquilified, it was all the front runners doing it in the 1st race, only ONCE in the 2nd

As a marshal its very hard to distinguish the bikes going past you at 150+kmh over the hill... Yes they all got spoken to after the first race, but like i said with a group of them going past you as they were its very hard to pick out the correct number of the bike thats doing it.

Really ? If the numbers are legal size it shouldn't be a problem at only 150kph.

If you can't read the Motards numbers, you probably wouldn't even see the SBK's then.

Edit - sorry if that sounds harsh but if I can read the legit sized numbers from the stands, surely you can see them from the edge of the track?

Sounds simple enough, they broke the rules, the get disqualified. Even I know that your not suppose to cross the yellow line at HD, and I've never even raced there. Best way to get people to follow the rules is to have them scared of the consequences. Sure, it would piss those particular people off, but they don't have a leg to stand on in an argument. If they want to pitch a fit, tell them to pack their shit and leave. You let people bend one rule, and they will bend them all. Give'em an inch and they will take a mile. Yadda yadda yadda.

Yep, those top five were rubbing wheels the whole way around, so I can see how it would be hard to tell them apart. But if they all crossed the pit entrance line astern, they all get disqualified from that races results. Ignore the rules and and your placement gets ignored. Seeing as they did a lot better in race 2, I would assume that they "all got spoken to" rather firmly.

My point exactly. If the commentators can call who is who from their position, it shouldn't be as hard from the edge of the track to determine who is who.
