New biker in town - Well, soon at least

    Hi fellow bikers...

Just thought I would quickly introduce myself... I am in the process of moving to Auckland, from Cape Town, mid February, and since biking has been in my blood since my first Yamaha RZ50 (yup I am THAT old), I am already looking at the biking scene in NZ. As soon as I land, I am going to be shopping for something. I recently sold my bike this side to prepare for my trip over, so the withdrawal symptoms are getting pretty severe.

Been riding bikes for around 23 years, and owned quite a number of bikes through the years... everything from 2-strokes, to V-twins, to superbikes. Looking at the strict laws in NZ, I will most likely get myself a nice enduro / dual purpose bike to travel and visit most of beautiful NZ... Having a Superbike would just get me into big trouble with all that power in my wrist at my disposal. So yea, taking the responsible route this time

Will still get to know where all the biking hangout spots are in Auckland, but it seems like there is quite a vibrant biking community going here.

Welcome. Great riding around here. On and Off road. Let us know when you arrive. We'll show you the riding spots. If you want a super-bike, buy a super bike. You will find yourself in good company either way.
