Anyone know what engine powers the Fantic enduro bikes?
    Fantic use GasGas engines.

The newer, 09+, Beta engines are their own. The new Beta 2 stroke motor has a built in e start under the motor, the first 2 stroke dirt bike engine designed with e start in mind, which is cool.

you need to read this, electric start in 1977 and its not just a bolt on mod and it most proberly wasn't the first electric start two stroke dirt bike.

Wow....take a die grinder to it .....I must admit I hadn't thought of that, here's me thinking I would just take it off the bike put it in some soft jaws in the vice and belt it slightly with a leather mallet, sounds like it would need SFA to clear.

    This ins an interesting topic...
my and my old mans Gas Gas EC250 and EC300 both have a catching problem , but ours are on the right hand footpeg. both of our starters are missing a fair chunk of metal from where it grinds against the back of the peg.
prehaps its just a European thing ?
