Well suppose you were coming around the sweeper at Ruapuna and Bob was bored shitless and decided to hop off the back because it's close the clubhouse and by the time he stopped sliding he'd only have to hop over the wall and be able to get himself a beer, pretty sure he would have decided what line you'd be taking by doing that

and at which point the noisey stick will come on.

They can certainly affect how you accelerate when you turn it on though
