Really stoked to have the motor completed in it's home.

Glad we don't have to fabricate the plumbing for it too.

Areas we've worked on are all still bare steel. Motor is the engine covers from the old motor, on the new one.

Paint is last, no point till it's a functional unit incase we need to make some more changes.

I've asked this before but I'll ask again as I had a guy ring me tonight with a blown up 1200...

Has your 1200 got a separate bolt-in main bearing block for one main ?

the guy who rang me said his 1200 had the bolt in block same as an 1100....it's put a rod out and as usual it's one of the ones fed by that bearing....
Looking at the pics you posted earlier it looked like yours had all the bearings in the cases with no separate block.
You've obviously had the sump off often enough to answer the question...

    Thanks.

No bolt on block to house the main bearing anywhere on our motor.

Thanks - looks like the first thing to look at on the blown one is the engine number......

Sounds like a weird arrangement that you're describing. I Will post up the engine number of ours for ya if it'll help.

    Epic disappointment.

Won't start. It seems like it's timed 180 degrees wrong, but that doesn't make any sense. The crank and cam angle sensors are fixed position items. Will send a couple pm's and see what some clever folks think.
