    I tried making a few bike parts out of timber but they wooden work

    Was it the subframe or just the rack that broke? If it was the subframe have a look at this: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=487154& It's easy to add a little extra steel & a lot more strength when you weld it up.

    My long suffering luggage & racks were feeling the pace a bit too. I'm currently engineering the new MkII uber strong Cro-Mo rack.

    Yep. Ausi and Yank this year. Last year had Ausi and fella from Dubai (Emirati).

    Me for one....A truly International event then Ryan

    Oli Shipped his bike over for the event. How many do that? He also navigated like he'd been here before, well he had, but not on a run like the Dusty. The mirrors were actually safely packed away in the bag, after knocking them off :-). I wish I could cross rivers like him, then I could have a go at the challenge sections, if I am lucky enough to get a second go.
