Checked out a '79 Princess on the weekend. But decided the work needed to make it a good road going was a bit beyond me space, money and skill wise at this stage in my life.

Pretty gutted, but will keep looking!

To be fair, the MX5 seems to be losing it's 'hairdresser' status and rightly so, they're actually a semi decent roadster from what I can see.

It's still a bit less gay than the MGF lol.

Still want one lol, already got the bitch though....

The Wedge is so pimp, would make a wicked Q-car if you tossed in a Honda V6 or something similar.

A mate has one just about identical to this one, It is a nice car to drive. Personally I do not find them that appealing, but I do like to drive it.

Many years ago I drove a brand new Austin Princess 2200 Vanden Plas (a friend's company vehicle). It was the British answer to the Datsun invasion. Carpets, Radio, Sound Proofing, the works.

I guess I might have a differing view these days on the same thing, but I thought it was the Bees-Knees.

Momentarily, it made one proud to be British. It's a shame it cost around 70% more than a far better Datsun
