    Bike friendly pubs?

    Hey KB,

Im new to the scene, and am trying to find biker friendly Pub's in and around Auckland, Waikato, Coromandel and northland.
I know a few of the famous ones like the Puhoi pub and the Coroglen. but I am looking to ride as often as I can but also enjoy a plate of chips and 1 or 2 beers on thr trip.

    Any suggestions?

    Kaiaua Pub North of Miranda.
You can ride your bike around the back to the garden bar, the publican has a pile of ally plates so your side stand wont sink into the grass.
They make their own burger patties and great fish and chips.
Oh yeah, they also sell beer
    Confirmed all this on saturday
With my beer tinted glasses I'm ready to biddy battle,
I'm hungry like the wolf, but I'll end up tending cattle!

The ''newish' owner of the Mangawhai Tavern is a biker and theres a nice big parking bay for bikes only...if you know where to look.
Kohukohu Pub on the Hokianga (short ferry ride) is another.

    Manganui pub

    Rangiriri Pub

    The Muddy Waters - Mercer

The Pub & Grub - Taupo

I'm not sure if the Bar & Grill in Patumahoe are still doing Thursday night bikers nights? Have a look online

    Kopu Pub

    Tapu Pub

    That should get you started!

Tihoi Tavern on SH32 northwest of Lake Taupo. Very friendly staff/owners and those 150 odd bikers that stopped there on their run a couple of weeks ago can't be all wrong.
    Nice empty road too.

Not sure if it's still any good as when I left it was changing owners and being renovated but the river head pub used to have heaps of bikes outside always and was a great place to catch up

Riverhead was always a great pub in the 80,s. Just another auckland suburb now isnt it.

If the Red Fox has been renovated then it has been made to look like a 70s or 80s pub and an authentic job has been done. The bar with the fire has been closed but otherwise pretty much the same as it was. Stopped there about a month ago. Good food, friendly service, cold beer
