    So...
What serious bit of gear is in front of that Lenco

I have some fond(but cramped)memories of a night in a bambina in the riverhead forest in 1982.

I never understood CVT on anything bigger than 1L. I put this in the same field of FWD.

    Too cheap to do properly.

A proper 2L+ car does not have CVT, it has DSG. Likewise it would not be FWD it would be 4WD or RWD.
But people are too cheap to build it/buy it. Myself include.

It kinda like a faulty tower skit really.

The car wen't straight or straight when you dropped the hammer.

If you played with the throttle however - was a very quick car. Much quicker than my Focus was. Even with no traction.

GTOs are fine! You just need to replace every capacitor in every one of the multiple ECUs it has with ones that don't leak and eat the PCBs

I had to go and see a dealer this morning. Days like today are just made for open-top driving, so naturally took the MX5. I really don't want to sell it, now...

FWD leaves a bit more room in the cockpit than having a driveshaft and diff up the back.

More room, better efficiency, less weight. With all the controls these days very hard to get into trouble with. However, Ford made one crucial mistake in bringing out the Mazda sourced Capri convertible... I was Front Wheel Drive...

FWD doesn't have to handle badly either, take a look at a type R Integra.

Nearly half of all the cars I've owned have been FWD. First time with FWD was in Mum's Mk1 Morris 1800 on gravel roads. Fun!

I like FWD, when they're good. I love the DC2 Teg, they're a proper handling car.
They'll also obliterate an MX5 in any condition and use less gas.
