We have gone from that, to banning wheelies & supressing what makes bike racing fun to watch & so the show deteriorates.
I remember Glenn Williams (1st one) & Rob Holden wheelieing the full lenght of the Pukie front straight, trying to out do each other in 87, that made racing great. I dont remember who won, but nobody got in the shit for it & nobody died, well not from that anyway.
It made me want to be around bike racing thats for sure!!
Bring back the showmen & the spectators will follow.
Maybe we need a $200 bonus for each of, best wheelie, best stoppie, best motard type slide on the most inapropriate bike (cheques in the mail for that one Jay) Etc etc.
What about two-points??? Where's my friggin cheque........??

But yeah, on a closed sealed race circuit away from spectators, why can't you wheelie like years gone by? People used to spank their monkeys watching that shit.... I know I did..... made me go out and do it on the streets too.......

As for F1 cars (or even V8 Supers) - I wouldn't go to watch it if I had a free ticket. Rather stay at home and surf porn...... It appears the more money that is spent on motorsport, the less spectacular, less opportunistic, less fun for competitors, and even less enjoyable it becomes for the spectator.

I was there and have won national races as you call them. So what, that doesn't make you special.
What we're talking about here is would we come to a meeting and I've said motorcycle racing is fading and wouldn't bother.
I'd rather get out there myself, there are what 9 or 10 pro twins you told me ? So I would be top ten as a 64 yr old grandad !!! I'd have a pretty good shot at top 5 by the look it and that's just bloody ridiculous.
Good luck to you if that's want, each to their own I guess.

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.

Lol, do you actually think you're funny ?

I was merely giving my opinion on the threads title question and you obviously can't handle the fact some (alot more than you realize ) people do not get in the slightest entertained by watching sidecars/chairs .

I can remember Holden doing that with Bill Biber on the back in a lunch break one meeting. Both were naked apart from boots and helmets and Bill had an NZ flag on a pole.
Imagine trying to do that today ? hahaha

You forgot the words; In MY opinion.

There are plenty of people that enjoy watching sidecars, infact some people enjoy watching them more than the solos...... and there are people like yourself that don't. I personally prefer to watch large grids with close racing no matter what the class is.

    Getting back to the point...

You are wasting your time debating this on a motorcycle forum that seems about 50% of the active members are racers. They will go anyway.

You need to go find the people that DON'T go to motorcycle racing and ask them. There are event organisers and marketing companies that do exactly this sort of thing...

No, I dont think im funny at all, I was refering to the Primary School education grammer, or lack of it in your former post, which clearly suggested youre either uneducated, or 7 years old. Obviously your mum helped you with this post though.
I couldnt give a fuck who does & dosent like watching sidecars frankly, thats not my problem, but suffice to say, we have the most entries for Taupo national event at this stage, so there will be some bitterly dissapointed spectators there I guess.
And where in this thread have I been supporting & ranting about sidecars?
I am a huge supporter of solo racing & own a front running two wheeled bike, ridden by a top rider for the benifit of racing, not for my own good.
You need to get that chip on your shoulder surgically removed, & while youre at it, why dont you just use your other log on? We all know who you are.
