    Sylvester Stallone GC -Indy 500

Brent Todd and Mark Ellis - GC
Jon Too Good from Shihad - On the way to AC/DC in Churchur - Ferry Crossing.
Supergroove at Macdonalds, they sat at my table with me.
Kevin Schwantz had a sip of Champagne from my glass
Graham Henry - we shared banter at a recent book signing where only 20 odd people showed up because of the pouring rain, ended up in the local Rag! Very humourous!
Tikii Tane - lives local to me, real nice guy!!
Had lunch with David Harradine at a training seminar recently - highly regarded photographer and trainer from Melbourne!!
Mr G! Local Graffiti Artist and motivational speaker, photographed some of his local art work. Has appeared on Ice T and Coco (MTV) Super nice guy!

One of the Bearded guys from ZZ Top. I was working on the door outside a club in Aus.
They were about to headline a Blues Festival in Byron Bay the following weekend when he rocked up, I grabbed him by the shoulders and yelled OMG I love your music. He'd just got a tattoo down the road, so I was asked politely to just move my hand from the Tattooed area... I invited him in for a drink, so we sat down and yakked at the bar for awhile. Cool dude!

EDIT: Quite a few politicians, some fabulous, some total idiots! Shook hands with John Key!
Australian Jack Daniels V8 race team driver, beers and a game of pool at 'my' bar! GC

Humm I'm sure there's more with the work and travel done over the years, but that's off the top of my head...!!

I shook Johnnie Cougar (-Mellencamp)'s hand at the Concert (Front row seats) - What a good Guy, great performer, but short as...

Also met John Bloor (Owns and restarted the Triumph brand) and his side kick (Lord) Digby Jones at a meeting while I was in Bahrain. They were there as guests of the Royal Prince to attend the Formula One and the Trumph Boys wanted to learn about the local bike market.

    Good Blokes.

I've met heaps of "Famous" people, but few celebrities. Someone who is famous in some circles may be completely unknown in others.

As a kid I would often arrive home from school and find Norm Kirk or Bill Rowling having a cup of tea with my Dad. Over the years I've been on first name basis with a number of politicians from both sides of the house.

More recently I have had personal contact with a number of famous scientists. Some of these I can even consider as friends, while others are adversaries.

    In no particular order: MarcEllis,
Pinetree Meads(who gave an awesome off the cuff speech to a group of kids from Otara)
    Kirk Torrance from Outrageous Fortune
Graham Crosby when he was with Red Baron
Graham Brazier twice, once at his book shop and once at a school pre ball function. He told all the students I was his mate and they had to look after me. I was driving them to the ball.
Billy Graham, motivational speaker who is doing great stuff with disadvantaged kids in Wellington through the Naenae Boxing Academy, a charity he set up that is changing heaps of lives.
    Graham Lowe
Willy Apiata VC, humble is the best way to describe him.
Radar and Ewen Gimour. East Timor 2002.
Highlight is Xanana Gusmao, 1st President of East Timor. It was 2002 and ET had just been recognised as an Independent nation by the UN. I was there wearing green doing a peacekeeping role and had a photo taken with him. Short but really nice guy with a story almost identical toNelson Mandelas.

I was the function manager at Bellamy's (Parliament) 95/96 when he was here.

I met the Queen, the Sultan of Brunei and the SG of UN all in the same couple years. Mandela is the one that stands out though.

Oh God. I forgot people I met while working at Mt Cook. Ed Hillary, Tem Morrison ... didn't meet them but saw actors Chris O'Donnell, Robyn Tunney, Bill Paxton and Scott Glenn while they were working on the movie 'The Vertical Limit' and staying at our hotel up there.

One of our managers saw April Ieremia naked once. She'd been pissing up in the Mt Cook tavern, had gone back to her room and ordered some food. Pizza I think. Anyway our manager took it up to deliver and getting no response at her door let himself in. She was lying there on top of the bed, naked and fast asleep. Good man that he was left the food outside the door and quietly left.

world famous? or world famous in NZ?

I think NZ is that small you do get to meet a lot of the locals or those people passing through..

one person that I did meet in my line of work was Carlos Hathcock, truly a very humble person..
