I'm 6'3" and I ride a GN. You are definitely not too tall for it. I fit fine. Sure I'd love to have a larger framed bike, but it never stopped me having fun on the GN. Even did a 4.5hr group ride on it one day just for a laugh.

I do rides that long or longer regularly for fun, not a laugh, lol. Have u ever had someone take a pic of what you look like riding?

Spot on. I've tried moving my fat arse backwards on the seat. Result is less control of my bike. She ain't no sports bike, am a bit too far away from the tank don't have as much for my knees to grip on to and the handlebars are so high they might as well be mid air. Also I just end up sliding forwards anyway the Ginny seat ain't exactly grippy...

Tyres, I got a price today but need to shop around, children do not make my new found hobby very easy to afford lol, such is life! Handlebars, I might try lowering them first...

First, let me just say you don't buy tyres on price, unless you are an idiot. You don't sound like one. Get the best one's you can afford, nothing less.
You should be able to get some bars for less than $50, maybe even try the wreckers. There will be lots here that will help you fit them for nothing, myself included if you come to south auckland.

Well, not 100% fair there, Andy. She can still shop around for price, BUT completely agree that you shouldn't be going for cheap tyres. You want good tyres as cheap as possible!

As a side note, just bought a car that had "4 new tyres" on it. Oh yeah, they're new alright, but they're so cheap that they're actually dangerous in the wet. It's ridiculous. I cant even tell which is the brand and which is the model "Mystique", "Blue Streak".

I went with Pirelli City Demon on mine. Pretty reasonable price, and I've heard good things about them on GNs. Haven't had any issues with it so far, although I do really need to change the front.
