    Excellent, hope he does get to fly in it.

    Small wordly enough, my Dad did the same job in the war and went on to make parts for Rolls Royce aero engines to tollerances their own staff couldn't match. There may be parts my Dad made still flying Today long after he's gone, maybe not but it's a nice thought.

    I love history with a personal connection, good for your Dad. x

    Woop woop.. Dad got to fly in his old plane!!!

    am awaiting pics to arrive..

    & he still keeps in regular touch with George (the other guy in the black & white pic, in the newspaper article), who lives in England

    Fabulous! Great story! By the way, "Pa and Ma" send their love, was great to meet them in person finally and he is even more of a gentleman than online! Loved the truck, too! Kudos for them to drive it all that way, including the Forgotten Highway!
