I've got miserly tourettes and I don't give a fuck.
With the exchange rate having gone to 85c to the NZ$ (and tipped to get to 90c) make sure it is a genuine bargain or rarer than rocking-horse shit when arriving here.

Ride on lawnmowers and barbeques. Stuff a couple in your hand luggage.
Seriously though, I looked into this a while back and couldn't find any 'get rich quick' items that someone wasn't already selling on tardme. Maybe just used Hardleys or old yank tanks. Too late for gun stuff, way expensive since recient events. Someone mentioned Craigslist, fucking great place for bargains! I can't figure out why it hasn't caught on in NZ. It is free and it works.
A custom modified Blond. You can get plenty of them in the States apparently.
Failing that a track bike with lots of good bits to go on it. Building a track/race bike here is ridiculous.

Some years ago a guy I know bought back a TransAm with the intention of moving it on. It took a lonnnng time to sell.
A dealer told him that the TransAm was the wrong kind of car to bring in, too many of the people who like cars like that have no cash.
He was told he should have bought in a BMW, Audi, or Mercedes, the type of car that people who do have money would like.
While that sad tale might not be relevant to this thread, the general principal is. Bring in stuff that will appeal to people who are likely to have cash.

I'm living in NYC at the moment until July (work) and theres some good deals to be had. It's hard finding things though especially stuff that is practical (and reasonable) to ship home. Shipping here is insanely expensive, I imagine it's much more reasonable from the West coast?
I really appreciate all your posts/advice - THANKS - please keep 'em coming!
